I had out of town guests and we were looking for an unique place to eat. We were seated on the patio. Gorgeous night and it was nice and quiet out there. Our server was very attentive and the manager came by to make sure we understood the happy hour menus. Very pleasant people! We had eight people so we decided to each get an appetizer and split them. The food ,which is made from scratch that day, was AMAZING!!! The calamari and shrimp were huge and full of taste. Everything was hot . The bread was delicious and warm. Our favorite was the gnocchi ....mmmm...mouthwatering. We were to stuffed to have desert:) I highly recommend Vivo. We will be returning soon.

Great food, great patio, and great service. With this place I felt like I hit the jackpot! Amazing food and atmosphere is possible in the suburbs! Tuna crisp appetizers are one of the best I have ever tried, and the lasagna was impeccable. We are going again this week for my Mothers birthday! Great choice, you cant go wrong!

I have been to Vivo Kitchen a few times now - usually for the brunch, which is very good. However, the happy hour and main menu is truly where this place shines. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable and cozy. The patio is great during the summer. They have a large bonfire and comfortable seating which makes for a nice place to unwind after a long day. We went to Vivo Kitchen last weekend to try out the new tacos on the happy hour menu. Guajillo chicken street tacos were wonderful - the chicken has a rich, smokey chipotle pepper-like sauce, corn tortillas, cabbage, lime. These rival some of the best tacos I have ever had (which I have had many fantastic authentic tacos, however, most of them were not in Minnesota, with the exception of just a handful places like El Taco Riendo in NE). Absolutely wonderful. We also had the burger on the menu and oh my, I cannot tell you how wonderful this was! I wish i could remember all that is on it, but unfortunately, I do not. You will just have to go check it out for yourself. It practically melts in your mouth and is bursting with flavor. (This is coming from someone who does not typically prefer to order burgers in Restaurants). I had the Pomelo Margarita which has actually pieces of Pomelo in the Margarita itself. It was perfectly tangy and tart, sweet, and refreshing - the best grapefruit/pomelo margarita I have ever had. Absolutely lovely. I would order it again in a heartbeat. Vivo Kitchen is a hidden gem - more people should know about this fantastic restaurant as it provides for the suburbs what you often can only find in or around the city. Good service, good atmosphere, and a killer menu. Whether you are looking for a fancy dining experience, a night out with friends, or a comfortable place to relax at the end of a long day, you cannot go wrong with Vivo Kitchen.

I'm writing about Vivo with the intention of going back. However, my first visit wasn't stupendous. We went for lunch and it was quite empty inside. This was partly due to the large size of the former Enjoy! building and partly due to the fact that it was just lunchtime. We were given our choice of seating which was nice. We chose a booth near the bar and first thing I noticed is it smelled like someone's grandmother's basement. Not sure if it was the leather on the seat or the wood used to make the table but it kinda ruined my appetite. The second thing that ruined my appetite was my dirty, sticky, finger and lip smudged glass I got for my drink. This is just a huge failure in quality control by the server and/or bartender. It does not take much effort to verify that my glass doesn't look and feel like a 2 year old's juice sippy cup. I eventually asked a different server for a fresh drink in a new glass. She didn't ask questions and kindly obliged. Thanks, other server! With my recent success over my drink crisis, I was eager to order to hopefully give Vivo a fighting chance. I opted for the prosciutto di parma flatbread. I must say this was quite tasty. Not really craveable but I'd still order it again (I'm on the fence with this one). The flatbread was a unique taste and texture and was dang near wonton status. Quite unique for a flatbread but it was enjoyed. Overall I would like to come back on a weekend night to see how this place runs. There is a ridiculous amount of seating here and if it gains popularity it will be a wonderful place to grab a drink and mingle I'm sure. I will definitely try again here even though the first impression has been made. Looking forward to updating my review further with tales of less sticky situations.

My visit to Vivo Kitchen was nothing short of glorious. The food was amazing. The decor is quirky and the service was top knotch. I got a rare ladies night out with my bestie when the menfolk made plans to go watch some wrestle mania. We wanted something new and different so we left our comfort zone of the Burnsy/Bloomy hub and ventured into Apple Valley. It was a straight shot up 42, a right and left and we arrived at the....castle? Yep it looked like a medieval fortress. Our interest was peeked as we opened the big 'old double doors and headed inside. We were immediately met by....a hair model? Nope it was a tre' chic host with Emo band hair. He was "uber" friendly. It was bright and open and for a second, I thought we stumbled into a hair salon. Trendy, tall and rail thin, our host led us to a window seat. I liked right away that the chair was comfy (yet a tad wobbly) and when I tried to scooch up to the table, the legs didn't catch in the grooves of the tile floor. I really hate that. Pet peeve. But not here, the floor was tiled but smooth enough for my chair to slide. Bonus! Looking around, I felt confused. Castle outside...some castle reminder columns inside but the decor and lighting was....odd. Everything seemed very modern. The light fixtures all had white plastic/ceramic covers with multicolored designs and shapes on them, and chickens. Yes chickens. Eyebrows raised...hmmm...okay I thought...I like weird so I'm just gonna go with it. Next up the food. Wow! First we got ice water in nice big goblets and perused the not too big but still hearty menu. We were teetolating so we were glad they werent chintzy with the H2O. I was a little disappointed when the waiter told me there were no specials as this was the new spring menu but he assured me everything was fresh and delicious....but they had run out of the salmon. Having Yelped it before we got there, we knew we wanted to start with the ahi tuna & avocado crisps. Sprinkled with sesame seeds, the creamy avocado slices and rare tuna on crispy flat bread pieces had us both speechless and oohing and awing in delight as we quickly mowed through the 6 bite size appetizers. Its a mercy there was an even number or we may have had a wrestling match of our own for the right to the last bite. Luckily we didn't have to wait long for our next choice, the avocado, tomato & basil flatbread to arrive. Bigger than we thought it would be, as we dove in we both closed our eyes and munched in silent heaven. More creamy avocado, flatbread crunch, spicy basil this time with sweet cherry tomatoes and some spicy creamy sauce. I think my dinner companion, quietly shed a tear of joy. As we had decided to split an entre, we also shared a Vivo dinner salad. Again 5 stars. How do you make mixed greens outstanding? Goat cheese, pine nuts and a balsamic vinaigrette. Dear Lord thank you for this meal. But there's more...the chicken and wild mushroom risotto. Tender chicken, juicy mushrooms and delicious risotto...simple yet elegant. I do prefer my risotto a little less wet, but as I almost licked the bowl I can let it slide. Finally dessert. We were both tempted by the gelato sampler and the molten cake but ultimately chose the warm brownie with peanut butter gelato, drizzled with caramel & chocolate sauce and topped with whipped cream, salted caramel crunch and crushed peanuts. As the spoonful of melty brownie and cold peanut butter gelato with salty caramel reached my tongue, I died right there. Or if I had, it would have been okay because I just had the perfect last meal. Fortunately, I didn't die and I can come back again and again. Amen.

House made! What a great suburban gem! Had not been here since it changed from Enjoy. Went for a birthday dinner and were extremely pleased. The decor and ambience was great. (The patio looks great come summer.) Our service was phenomenal. The waiter was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations. We had the Ahi crisps to start. These were a great riff on sushi. Very tasty. For entrees we had gnocchi, lamb spaghetti, and scallops. All three dishes were very well executed. We chose two desserts. Carrot cake doughnut balls were clever and fun. The brownie gelato sundae was great as well. (House made gelato from house made peanut butter!). Wine selection was good. The lemonade was even fresh squeezed! All in all, we will be back. Great evening and dinner.

This place has a nice atmosphere in the summertime you can sit outside and have a fire place. The food is ok the drinks are ok the prices are ok and the service is okay

The food was a three (everything need seasoning), the services was a five. Will go back again to give it another shot, as the service was exceptional.

Awesome ahi tuna crisps! Tons of flavor in a small package. Margarita flat bread was fantastic (like pizzaria Lola)! Nice bourbon selection And the pork chop was fantastic!! Highly recommended!

I've only gone here for happy hour. I think the prices get a little steep for the dinner items. If you go for happy hour you have to get the Vivo Burger Jr, very good portion, and is amazingly tasty. I also really like the Prairie Pineapple Martini. The pizza's are huge; great deal. The Local tomato Bruschetta is so so. You don't get very much I think it was 3 small pieces of french bread. I personally didn't like the Ahi Tuna Crisps. The Calimari on the dinner menu was undercooked and very greasy.

Dined here last nite for my husbands birthday! We loved the atmosphere...felt like we were in a different city or at least in Minneapolis! Our server made the nite! Mike! He was so wonderful! Knew the menu made us feel at home and always there if we needed him. He was very hip and healthy looking and made us want to eat the great food when he described it to us!!! We had the cesar salad which was amazing. We rarely order it as we are always disappointed not this time. Our girls had the fettucini and ravioli which they loved. I had crab cakes which had wonderful chunks of real crab in them and my husband loved the pork chops! Thanks Mike will be back!!

Great happy hour! Try the tuna crisps. Skip the brunch. It was very expensive for the selection.. $20. No omelet bar, no caramel or cinnamon rolls, there wasn't much variety. Risotto bar was great, but there wasn't enough to choose from. Go to Rudy's if you want a great brunch at a good price.

I wanted to love it! The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is friendly and attentive. We were dining with friends, 2 people ordered pasta dishes and were pleasantly surprised to find you can order half size portions. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was not eatable , everytime I tried to take a bite I couldn't bite through the steak, it was tough and very fatty. Our 4th diner ordered the fish special and said it was ok but the vegetables were soggy. Again for the price of our dinners I expected more.

I happened to find myself in Apple Valley and made it a point to stop here. Some friends and I needed some cheering up as we just said our final goodbyes to a high school friend. This restaurant is owned by the Bacio guys so I expected the same happy hour deals. It was spot on. Fantastic $5 specialty drink menu, and great beer specials. Any tap $3.50, if I remember correctly. We had the margarita pizza, and a few orders of the ahi tuna crisps that Bacio turned me onto. Great flavor in those tuna crisps... The fresh tuna and avocado makes me feel fairly healthy as I'm downing a high calorie martini. :) The margarita pizza was just ok. Too much cheese for the size of the pizza. Looks like the patio will be pretty amazing once it's open. It appears to wrap around 3/4 of the restaurant. I'll most likely make a trip out some sunny afternoon to check it out.

I went there with my wife to celebrate a friends birthday. We decided to eat dinner while we were there as this was a new and interesting looking place. We got the menu and immediately saw how expensive our dinner was going to be. Prices were around 18, some higher some lower. Just an observation for now, I don't mind spending the monies for good food. I ordered the risotto and the wife gots the brick chicken. For $17 I got a medium bowl of risotto. It tasted bland and the mushroom seemed undercooked while the risotto itself seemed overcooked. My wife's brick chicken wasn't too bad, but we definitely wouldn't go back for it as it didn't seemed worth the price and didn't taste any better then how we cook chicken at our own home. While waiting for a while for the food, the manager came out to our table to make an announcement. One of the orders was missed. They had made the decision on our behalf (not asking how we'd like to handle it) to remake the whole order and make everyone wait even longer. So we all finally get our food. The birthday girl and her friend both got steak salads ordered to medium well. After all the waiting they get salads that are bloody raw. This is not an exaggeration. So the birthday girl ends up after waiting for a remake to wait for a remake part 2. The plus side is we got 3 free deserts for all the wasted time. The deserts were actually pretty good. I dominated them. Sadly, I can't justify even 2 stars for this review given the free deserts because the rest of the experience was just so bad. Pretty much everyone decided they won't be going back. I know I will be letting others know that this place is not at all what it's cracked up to be. Update: Offered a GC for the troubles. Don't feel at all like going back. Thanks for the offer though I guess.

This restaurant pleasantly surprised me. There are just so many Italian food wannabe players out there. Your chances of choosing one if you pick a restaurant at random is very high.We chose right with Vivo. Th restaurant was very nicely decorated and it had a rustic looking motif and it worked. Our server was very friendly and helpful and my lasagna was top notch. They were rather slow though. but that was not that huge of a factor brcause my lasagna was worth the weight

We were really excited to try this place after the long opening... Since we live so close and loved Enjoy. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We ordered the bruschetta for and app and their was little to no cheese, the peppers they added were slimy and just didn't go well. I ordered the pesto sea bass for an entree and again another disappointment. The mashed potatoes were cold and didn't taste real ( I think my grade school lunches had better) and I don't know what they were thinking with wasabi mashed potatoes??? Gross! he sea bass has no pesto flavor. It is topped with cold onion strings (what you top green been casserole with at TG) It was way over priced for what you get. The Dirty martini however was delicious be careful because their "rail" is Karkov. We probably won't be returning for dinner any time soon, but possibly happy hour in the summer which is probably the only reasonable priced items on the menu. We really wanted this to be our "go to" spot since apple valley lacks restaurants like this and we love the atmosphere, but not anymore.

Dined with my wife and daughter last night. Waited for an outdoor spot and was seated shortly after a fantastic grapefruit margarita... It wasn't communicated to the waiters that we were seated thus we waited for nearly 30 minutes without service. We didn't say anything however the manager found out and was VERY attentive and apologetic. The food was great, especially the pork confit flatbread, and the servers were friendly. Will DEFINATELY go back! Ps. The kids menu is good and well priced. This is a family friendly spot and even with the kids with it can be a date night too. Cheers!

My husband and I have been looking for a good restaurant in this area for quite a while and we sure have found one! My husband had walleye and I had the beet salad with filet mignon. It was the best meal I've had in maybe forever! We had Sarah as our server and she was great! Gave very good suggestions and fantastic service! The restaurant itself is lovely. I would call it something like upscale-casual, if that makes sense. Just warm and comfortable. We are truly looking forward to going back again soon. With friends!! So glad to finally have a decent restaurant south of the river!!!!

Basically, Disappointed! Bring back Enjoy! Ever since Enjoy closed last year, we had looked forward to the replacement. However, our first trip back may be our last. We went during Happy Hour. Here is what we experienced: The server tried to be too friendly-friendly to the point of being frustrating. The mixologist needs to know more about mixing drinks beyond just throwing the ingredients together The Ahi Tuna crisps were sort of OK, but so tiny and the crackers kind of overwhelmed the tuna The Bananas Foster bread pudding, well, the pudding was dry and tasteless and putting 2 slices of banana atop the pudding is hardly a Bananas Foster Needless to say our recommendation to friends will not be positive

The new Vivo is great, and it's a lot better than Enjoy. Enjoy was never terrible in my experience, but it was not an operation worthy of such an extraordinary building. So far, I've been to Vivo for a dinner with my wife an a business lunch with three other people. Both experiences were great. Vivo expanded the kitchen as part of its renovations. The kitchen was too small when this place was Enjoy, which led to longer waits, etc. It's a huge restaurant (and even bigger in the summer with the massive patio), so it makes sense that the kitchen expanded to serve the crowd. Anyway, it's a scratch kitchen, meaning things are made from scratch here. And this shows because the food tastes great. They locally source what they can, and as an aside, the owners of this place have a restaurant in Minnetonka and Minneapolis, so they clearly know what they're doing here. I could never really get behind Enjoy, even though I really wanted to. Not so with this place. Good to have them in Apple Valley.

Review title: "No sauce needed" My Filet was amazing! Seasoned to perfection and cooked just as I requested. I would recommend substituting the fries that come with it for a salad, steamed veggies or potatoes. My daughter had pizza and it was great, and my boyfriend really enjoyed his Lasanga. Great staff and perfect ambiance. Not really kid friendly but it worked out well.

We had a lovely dinner tonight at Vivo. Were seated promptly, and had a wonderfully attentive waitress, Melissa. I had a yummy grapefruit margarita, then margarita pizza, shrimp lettuce wraps with watermelon salsa. I would suggest only getting the small size of the seafood linguine, as the regular was huge. I ate it all- they didn't skimp on the seafood: at least 4 shrimp, 5 mussels, 2 scallops, salmon, etc all over homemade linguine. And somehow made room for the small scoop sampler of gelato. We will be coming back soon.

So, we have dined at this establishment under the name of Enjoy. Nice changes- open the rounded door entry way into beautiful Tuscan villa. Greeted by a pleasant color palette and artwork. Jason the host greeted us promptly (8:15 reservation) and escorted us to a two top table. Moments later a friendly sever Andi greeted us and offered to get us a beverage. Wine selection was nice- offerings by the glass were pleasantly plentiful! After seeing the recommendation on swarm for the Parmesan shrimp, we ordered a half plate of those and calamari. The lemon garlic aioli sauce was wonderful with the perfectly cooked calamari! The shrimp were also very good with just a nice presence of garlic (not over powering), the wasabi cocktail sauce complimented the shrimp well (shrimp were also cooked perfectly!) Next the main course, my better half ordered the Lasagna and I ordered the seafood linguini. Andi was fabulous! Very anteater ive but not oppressive, she made certain we were not rushed and staged the end of the appetizers with the maincourse like a pro! Shortly after placing our order the host stopped by to confess the lasagna entree was sold out, very apologetic and contrite he made a few suggestions as did another wait staff member. We changed our order to the Rosso, my wife was concerned by the potential of the sausage being too spicy but ran with the gamble. Andi informed us while they pride themselves on localvore efforts of the establishment, she confessed that they love this sausage so much it remains on of few items flown in (from San Fransisco). The Rosso arrived and it did not displease in the slightest! In fact she loved it, and the sausage was not to spicy for her- I tasted it and it was very flavorful! I was very impressed with the seafood linguini- it is too easy to over cook such an assortment of seafood all in one dish, but they mastered it!!! Shrimp were tender, scallops were tender, salmon gently flaky, mussels were tender... Get the picture??? Pasta was freshly extruded and al dente! Great service and great food outside of the metropolis of Minneapolis or St Paul?? YOU bet! Will we return? Most definitely and you should try it out yourself! Cheers!

We went here just to get dessert after a poor meal at Copper River. This used to be called Enjoy! Apparently that closed in September 2013 and reopened earlier this week as Vivo Kitchen. Our server asked what brought us in, so we took a minute to go over the bad meal at Copper River, and our server assured us that wouldn't happen here. She ordered the molten lava cake and a cocktail, I ordered the creme brulee and a standard mixed drink. Her cake was at least warm, but there wasn't anything molten about it (so that's twice in one night from two different places). I ended up having to ask about my creme brulee, which they'd completely forgotten to deliver. They took my drink and dessert of the bill. But still, two places in one night and neither could do the simplest of things well.

Went here last night with family. I'll just cut to the chase & say the food was divine. We had a party of 6 & were handed well by the staff. Everyone at the table said the food was fantastic & it was agreed this was a very enjoyable experience. Try the salads. They were a great starter to the meal. The Cioppino & Risotto were perfection!!!

Dined at Vivo last night with girlfriends and can't wait to go back! My girlfriend had previously had the Viola Dolce martini and was saddened to see it had been taken off the menu...but delighted when John at the Bourbon Bar offered to make it for her! I had the Sangria and it was delicious! Not too sweet, just the way I like it. Our server, Rachel, was super friendly and offered great suggestions about the menu. I was torn between the burger and the risotto and she recommended I skip the risotto on a Friday night and come back on Sunday during brunch when they have a custom risotto bar! Sweet. The burger (which I'm told is grass fed from Kansas) was every bit as good as Rachel described. I could have devoured the entire juicy thing...but saved half for my hubby (the burger snob) to try. The fries were tasty...but could have been more plentiful and the $12 price was worth every penny. I also had the Beet/goat cheese salad on Rachel's recommendation and it was amazing! My girlfriend had the Sea bass and was kind enough to let me try it. It had this beautiful crust on the outside and so incredibly tender and flaky on the inside. It paired perfectly to the wasabi mashed potatoes. She said she had not had Sea bass THAT GOOD since she was in GREECE and the fish was caught an hour before it was served! Nice work VIVO! My other girlfriend had the Beef Tenderloin, caramelized brussel sprouts and french fries. She was in beef heaven, it was perfectly cooked for her and she quickly became part of the clean plate club. My only gripe about the place was the noise factor (which is why I gave it 4 stars). With all of the cool stone/wood...there isn't much to deaden the noise. We first walked into the main bar to wait for our friend and immediately was turned off by all the noise. Lucky for us the hostess asked if we wanted to be seated at the Bourbon bar in the back of the restaurant. Yay! It was the perfect place to have some awesome girl talk and wait for the rest of our party. Our table was fairly close to the bar and by the end of the night, we felt like we were losing our voices trying to talk over the roar from the main bar. Not sure what can be done about the loudness (fabric draping/glass panels?) but I can't wait to go back! Thank you Vivo!! Oh and my husband ate the other half of the Vivo Burger for breakfast this morning and he was raving about it even after he nuked it. It's hard to win over this burger snob...but he said "when do I get to go to Vivo". :-)

Visited Vivo with my family on a Sunday evening. We went early enough that we didn't have to wait for a table for 6. Everything that we had was very good, from Ahi tuna crisps to wild mushroom ravioli and Amish chicken. The portion sizes were perfect and the food was fresh. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and our server and the other staff were wonderful. They even gave my children bunches of balloons left over from Valentine's Day. We will definitely return!

Yum! I cannot say enough good things about this place. One of my favorite restaurants to dine at in the suburbs. Dinner, we've been here several times for dinner and while my fiance always gets the same pasta dish, I've tried several of their dishes and have loved them all however my favorite is still the braised short rib pasta. Brunch, hands down the best place I've been to for brunch in a very long time. While its a brunch buffet, the food is incredibly fresh and you aren't standing there looking at food that is so dried out in that it does not look appetizing. And they have create your own stations such as the risotto which was really great. And don't miss out on the desert station. The atmosphere is great & the staff is very attentive without being overbearing.

My wife and I brought our mothers here last week for an early dinner on a Sunday. We made reservations and were sat pretty much right away. Our server came straight to the table with a smile on her face and said that she would be taking care of us tonight. She also asked if this was our first time dining with them. I responded with yes this is our first time. She took our drink order and said I will be right back with drinks and to answer any question we had on the menu. She brought back the drinks, mine witch was a Bourbon Smash. Loved it!!!! We proceeded with ordering. My wife and mother In law both ordered the Butternut Squash ravioli. This was a huge winner. The homemade pasta was perfect and the butternut squash filling wasn't boosted with tons of cheese. They were fairly light and delicious. The sage brown butter with Pacetta was perfectly done. My mother ordered the seafood linguini. I was a bit skeptical for this dish. I have seen it done so badly so many different times. The house made pasta was cooked perfectly to the tooth. There was a good amount and assortment of seafood which consisted of; Mussels, shrimp, calamari and fish. This dish was perfectly seasoned and another winner. I ordered the 14oz bone in Pork Chop with a Butternut squash mash and sautéed Brussels sprouts. The pork came with a zin/port sauce with Gorgonzola cheese. This dish was seasoned perfectly and I asked the chef to cook my pork to medium, with they did flawlessly. The restaurant is batting 100% with the entrees. We proceeded with dessert. And they were all fabulous as well. I am so happy that there is restaurant establishment close to me that I can call my goto place . This is it. Vivo, please keep up the great work with your food to your staff. Awesome job!!!!!

My husband and I went for lunch on a weekday and it was our first time back since Enjoy had closed. The service was really great - (the head chef even came out and talked to us since I had a question about bringing in a child with food allergies and how the resaurant could accommodate that.) We sat in a comfortable booth in the bar and the waitress told us the specials. We went with some of her recommendations and got a walleye sandwich to share (it was the best I have ever had), then we got an Asian chicken salad, and a cup of chicken wild rice soup. Everything was really good- right down to very freshly brewed and real iced-tea with no weird added flavorings. We didn't have time for dessert but thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We are going back in a week with some friends for dinner! Thanks Vivo! So excited to have a great restaurant with a patio in the south metro!

Went to Vivo for the first time with my husband for happy hour. We were seated on the beautiful patio facing the water fountain. We had a great time! Our server, Michelle, was great. She was excited about their happy hour which made us excited about it. She was always there at the perfect time to check on us and was never intrusive. We tried every drink on the happy hour menu, and while they were all delish, my favorite was the grapefruit margarita. My husband loved the Sangria made with brandy. I am not a brandy fan, but thought it added a very nice flavor to the Sangria. The margarita pizza was BIG, and only $5! The crust was crispy and chewy at the same time, which reminded me of my favorite pizza from Cossettas. I have never liked ahi tuna but have heard so many rave reviews about their ahi tuna crisps that we had to give them a try. A-MAZ-ING! Everyone should try these. The avocado and spicy mayo on top of the tuna on top of a cracker crisp made a fantastic creation. We also had the tacos, simple but flavorable. If that wasn't enough, we had the happy hour burger and fries. This was also yummy. To finish it off, we went with Michelle's suggestion of the brownie sundae. My favorite part of this was the candied peanuts on top of real whip cream. She suggested the espresso martini with dessert, but I wanted to try their hot coffee instead. The coffee was delicious, hot and fresh. Michelle was quick to warm it up when needed. We appreciated the fantastic food, superb drinks and outstanding friendly service. My birthday is two weekends away and we have already decide this will be the spot for my bday dinner. Thanks for a lovely day Michelle and Vivo!!!

Excellent service - top notch food - affordable and worth it. My wife and I went there for coffee & desserts on Friday night, the place was hopping and the staff seemed to handle the pressure with professionalism, courtesy and enthusiasm ! To quote Mark Twain, I say HELL YES ! -- cheers Vivo !

We have now been 4 times in 13 days with several different people. Everyone has loved everything we have had and we have tried numerous dishes and appys.(not dessert people) Good service. I will say we had a pasta that after a few bites wasn't very hot. A completely new order was brought amazingly quick and piping hot. Great!

Restaurants are usually the same old thing, but this one is different. If you cook gourmet at home and want to experience something; go to Vivo.

Mother's Day. The Vivo burger. On the patio in front of a roaring fire. Perfect. 'Nuff said.

My wife and I went here for happy hour, Friday evening. We ordered a couple appetizers, which were tasty, but the portions were very small. We had a few amazing cocktails - I suggest the pineapple martini. Although it was busy, our bartender, Sean, stayed attentive to our needs. He did a great job! It's nice to have a place like this in Apple Valley. When the patio opens in the summer, this will definitely be our go-to place.

My parents and I decided to get dinner here tonight for the first time. Read some reviews and it seemed like it would be good and it lived up to the reviews. Our service was a bit slow at first, not sure if our server was really busy or not very attentive, but it got better as the night went on. I got the tomato avocado flatbread and added grilled chicken and it was excellent! An abundance of cherry tomatoes, chunk of avocado, basil, olive oil and fresh mozzarella. If I could change one thing about it, I would add a little more of the mozzarella. It was so tasty and fresh. My parents each had a slice and loved it as well. My dad got the gnocchi which was amazing. Fresh gnocchi, pork, Harissa, goat cheese and mint. The flavors went so well together. My dad said it was one of the best pasta dishes he has ever had. Truly superb and different. My mom got the vegetarian lasagna which was also very tasty. It was a little too salty for me, but did have great flavor and was fresh tasting as well. The ciabatta bread that comes with the meal was great as well. Crispy yet soft and chewy, just the way bread should be! And I appreciate a restaurant that serves spreadable butter. Very good!! I will definitely be back, as well as my parents. I had been to this location before when it was Enjoy, but I would say Vivo Kitchen is superior. I hope the restaurant can stick around. I am looking forward to returning and trying other menu items.

I've had dinner as well as been to happy hour several times already and have had great experiences each time. The appetizers are unique and very good. And we will always sit in Michelle's section at the bar because she is a great server and we enjoyed her during the Enjoy years!

We love this place! Have been at least 5 times since it opened and are enjoying trying all the new dishes. The HH deals are amazing, wine list is great and service is outstanding!! Please keep it up, we need a place like this in the burbs. Not everyone here is cheap!

My parents were town and offered to take my family out for dinner on Sunday evening. A reservation for 8 was easily accommodated by phone. Friendly service. Aesthetically pleasing decor and a very nice and knowledgeable server. She had opinions when asked for recommendations. I love that in a server. She steered my wife to the gnocchi and me to the dry aged pork chop. Both were outstanding and everyone enjoyed their meal. I am glad my dad picked up the check, thanks again dad. It is a spendier place than I would usually take the kids, but you can easily spend that amount driving into the city and have to deal with traffic and parking. The menu is quite diverse and has some unique entrees usually not found south of the river. I will definitely be back when my wife and I are looking for a nice evening out. I'd call it, dining city style but south of the river. Oh, I almost forgot. They have a good beer menu too. In my world, that would likely be a deal breaker.

Have visited this delightful restaurant two times and each time was impressed with the food and service! Our friends and my husband and I tried many items; appetizers, salads, pasta and filet mignon. Each item was a delightful treat. Also on our last visit last night we were equally impressed how expertly the busboy worked on tables, knowing how to remove dishes without disturbing, filling our water glasses, etc in the main room. The only glitch was the first time I was there the bourbon old fashion was the best I have had in a long time. Last night, I received one that was like a sweet candy drink..no good bourbon should be treated like that! Five stars with the food...being a tough critic, I deducted one star because of the old fashion. Keep it up...we will be back with guests many times.

I've been to Vivo many times since it opened. I've tried a variety of appetizers as well as the Bourbon Bar. The shrimp appetizer is awesome. Michelle is our favorite server. She is always upbeat and takes good care of us!

Read the reviews while looking for a great spot for lunch while on business and ended up here... So happy I did! They have a fairly good spread for lunch, and was torn between the chicken sandwich and the Pick 2 special (you could pick soup, salad, lasagne, pizza, etc.) Ryan the waiter recommended the chicken sandwich (his favorite), so I was off! Chicken sandwich is grilled, with fresh greens, tomato, mayo, and this incredible bacon-jam (thick cut bacon, honey, raspberry?, syrup, and other carb-diet-blowers!) It was fantastic! Came with a side of fruit (but I got fresh cut fries... Even better!) Here's the rundown: Satisfied: Yes Return: Yes Advocate: Yes

I remember when this place was Enjoy! Liked it back then but the new twist makes it a bit better. Never really venture out to the burbs anymore but I am a Apple Valley native so this place is great when visiting the folks. I heard it was owned by the same people that own Zelo in Minneapolis which I am a huge fan of. The food is not too salty, the atmosphere hasn't changed much from the old enjoy except the large hanging sculptures on the ceiling. The building itself was gorgeous to begin with so can't go wrong there. My parents are picky (and trust me you don't know picky til you see older Asian parents go at it) and they like this place. The word like here is used because that is the vernacular they used but that equates to love in normal speak. The most impressive part about this place is their staff. Awesome wait staff, even picked up some cash I dropped on the ground by accident for me. It's the little things that add up huge.

I'd been here several times for dinner (love the walleye!) but my most recent experience was for Mother's Day brunch. Every time I've been here it's been solidly good. They were running a little late on our reservation so we had to wait about an additional 10 minutes. Our server was good, rushed but they were very busy. The bloody mary was nothing special, but it was fine. The buffet was great- the mushroom and chicken risotto was fantastic and so was the steak benedict. They also had an omelette bar, which I did not try, but looked good (they had jalapenos!). The regular buffet portion had ahi tuna crisps (yum!), shrimp, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, bread pudding french toast (This was amazing and my son's favorite) as well as lunchy things like pasta, fried rice, chicken, prime rib, salads, fruit, and a dessert table. They also had house made gelato that you could order for dessert- we tried the cherries jubilee, the peanut butter, and the tin roof sundae. Overall a good experience. Yes, it was hectic but that's to be expected for Mother's Day. I am looking forward to coming back for brunch and dinners again. I love that it's so close.

Beautiful place! Totally hidden, wouldn't have know it was there. Lunch specials were great tried the turkey sandwich with a salad. Not a huge fan of truffle oil so we did not like the wild mushroom flat bread. Lemonaid is good and so was the warm crusty bread and butter. love all the outdoor seating and the sunroom! Beautiful bar. Good place to have a party! I head the brunch is great on the weekend.

Went for lunch. Ambiance very nice as usual but the food is very sparse. A small salad is micro and if you are at all hungry you will need 2 at minimum. The waitress was nice but kept taking the bread which was the only substance we had while drinking martinis. I don't recommend if you are hungry. Maybe happy hour ?

Vivo is gorgeous. Deep tones, stone fireplaces, a patio with a pergola overlooking a grassy field that will more than likely be a gas station or a Wal*mart within a year. Vivo is like finally getting that hot date but they have no personality. Bummer. I'll cut to the chase.. The tomato basil soup was more like spaghetti sauce. I don't understand the concept of thick chunky tomato soups. I don't understand how they are different from sauces. I don't like it. I'll keep bitching about this. I'll probably keep ordering it as well. The bread was bready-ish. One of two things happened here; they either put it in the oven to warm it up and left it too long, or they tried to toast it and failed miserably like when Rachael Ray cuts her hair to distract from the fact she has a huge head. It ended up being soft and warm in the very center but shattered into millions of dry crumbs around the edges. It reminded me of the saltine cracker challenge from a few years ago. My chicken fettuccine was probably poured right out of a Marie Callendar's box, slapped into the microwave, and formed into a nest on my plate. How cute. I don't like soft noodles. My noodles need to have some bite. But these bastards basically bit right back. They needed another minute or two in the water and I'm worried that if any birds find them in the dumpster out back, they will swell up and explode. PETA should really be on top of this one. Speaking of PETA.. and birds... the chicken in my dish was bland but I can only attribute that to it living in Apple Valley. *smirk* Aside from the gorgeous interior and patio, I do actually have a couple good things to say: 1.) My friend's chop salad was fresh, delicious, and the smaller portion was still a decent size. 2.) The burnt orange mandarin cosmo I ordered was so strong that I couldn't even drink it. That's right, I left it sitting there even after I had them mix in a splash of orange juice. You can call me a pussy all you want, but we already knew I was one because I ordered a cosmo, you redundant douche.

Vivo is located in the old "EnJoy" building near Kelley Park. The exterior almost looks like a castle with large gray masonry work. The interior has warm, bright and whimsical (almost Aboriginal looking) characters and symbols. The food is best described as "old traditional" Italian and American with subtle and welcome updates. I ordered the small plates Brussel spouts which were caramelized to perfection then topped with a touch of honey and almonds. All hesitation of Brussel sprouts left at first bite! They were phenomenal. I've had Brussel sprouts with bacon, seasoning and EVOO, but NOTHING compares to the honey and almonds! Kids would even eat these Brussel sprouts! We also tried the butternut squash bruschetta which I would rate only ok. I've read some Yelp comments on the dislike of the "spaghetti" or "marinara" like chunky tomato soup...Personally, I love it. I am thankful to finally see a mature tomato soup that doesn't have a cream/dairy component. The good news is the wait staff is aware of the love/hate relationship of their tomato soup and will bring out a free sample, Our main entrees were all delicious and prepared to our liking and specifications. We had the Molten Chocolate cake and the Brownie sundae. Of the two desserts, the family consensus was Brownie sundae! I think the Molten cake would have faired better if the dipping fudge were warmed. All in all, both desserts were plate licking good.

My husband and I recently came here for our anniversary. When I made the reservation I asked specifically for more private seating so that we could enjoy a romantic meal. I just had a baby so I was really looking forward to enjoying an evening out. When we arrived, I was really disappointed that they seated us at a table in the middle of the dining room next to a railing. I'm very passive and assumed that my request hadn't been noted so I didn't say anything. I should have because it really affected our ability to enjoy the meal- it felt far too casual. The food was surprisingly good. We ordered the highly rated ahi crisps and they didn't disappoint. My hubby got the shrimp étouffée and I had the filet, both of which were fresh and much better than expected. The service was fine although if anything, a bit too attentive. The peanut butter gelato with brownie was playful and tasty. We will be back for the great food but for a much more casual meal.

We LOVED this place. My husband is hard to please but said he was pleasant surprises. We both ordered pasta (fettucini Alfredo and the corn ravioli) and they were unbelievable. It was a huge bonus to be able to order a lunch size for dinner. We both ordered 2 drinks, salad, lunch side pasta AND dessert was about $75. A fun night out!

I tried to like this place. I really did. A few times over. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs the first time to have the 2 meatballs show up with 6 noodles. Not kidding. I was able to count the noodles because they were almost non-existent. Next time got grilled cheese and tomato soup. Burnt grilled cheese and flavorless tomato soup. If youre wondering how tomato soup can be flavorless? So am I, but it was. Not going back.

The restaurant is located in the new downtown of Apple Valley & has ample parking. It's roomy and has split sections that's good for groups. Very clean and good hallway, meaning the tables aren't cramped right next to one another. The decor is uptown-fancy. The staff are friendly and helpful. And now review for the food. The pasta dishes comes in 1/2 size order (a plus) so I was able to order an entree, 1/2 pasta, and dessert. The pasta & lasagna was tasty and has the right amount of flavor. We also ordered calamari, which the 'squid' was soft and fresh but the fried dough kinda fell apart (something to work on perhaps?). We also ordered the gelato sample, which was creamy and smooth but too sweet for my taste. The serving portions are on the smaller side but it's quality over quantity.

Ahi Tuna Crisps (4 stars) were REALLY good. Got chicken added to my Caesar salad and the flavor on the chicken was soooo yummy (4 stars). My Risotto Milanese was pretty good (3 stars) and my hubby's Osso Buco was good (3 stars) as well. The restaurant was very nice and the service was wonderful. Will definitely return.

My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Saturday night for a quick night cap. We sat at the bar--ordered a couple of drinks and carried on with our conversation. She had never been to VIvo and had asked me what I thought of the food. IN the midst of my private conversation, a bartender who was not serving us rudely interrupted to open up my conversation to her. I simply said that the brunch was not as satisfying and the food was cold--however, I enjoy the ambiance and the drink selection. The woman bartender rudely said "Well that's too bad" in a annoyed voice and walked away. Instead of simply saying "Well I'm sorry to hear that, I hope we can change your mind"...she was rude! Terrible impression! I hope I do not encounter her again.

If you haven't tried this place yet, you are missing out!!! My husband and I tried this place tonight after reading a friend's five star review. We shared an order of crab cakes. They were fantastic! Unlike any crab cake either of us has ever eaten. Very unique and very good! I ordered the lamb linguine. FANTASTIC! Love the noodles at this place. They are done perfectly al dente. The lamb was very flavorful and tender. My husband ordered the seafood linguine. He also liked how the noodles were prepared. The seafood was all fresh and good. The noodle to seafood ratio was perfect. We will definitely be returning here again!

VIVO Las Apple Valley Bright light city gonna feed my soul, gonna feed my soul with some food. That bright light city isn't quite the clit up city that Vegas might be and the soul pleasuring food I found could give some the finest restaurants in Vegas a run for their money as well. That place my friends is VIVO Kitchen where I had one of the best meals ever. It was a nice Friday evening and my wife and I were trying to think of a new place to try in town and she mentioned VIVO. I would have invited Elvis, but well, we all know that's not possible. We've been wanting to check it out since we heard of its opening, so my wife, parents and I made some reservations. VIVO Kitchen is quite large and the patios, yes plural, are large and the scenery is wonderful. The inside is very modern with an open kitchen and as I mentioned, large! And now, it's time for the food. My mother and I decided on the Halibut which just so happens to be my favorite fish when it's prepared correctly. My wife went with the Salmon and my dad decided on a Filet. We'll start with the Filet. My dad isn't a huge Filet guy, but he went for it and he was happy he did. He said it was prepared perfectly and while I didn't take a bite, it really did look awesome and was definitely juicy looking. I wasn't a big salmon eater for the longest time and I think it's because I was given some really bad salmon many years ago. This Wood Grilled Copper River Salmon that my wife ordered was easily the best salmon I've ever had and the accompanying whole grain red pepper risotto was insane. I almost wanted to devour my wife's meal, but I was busy enjoying mine as well and that's where we're heading next. The first time I had the opportunity to try halibut was in high school and I was hooked. I've had bad halibut and I've had really good halibut. VIVO's Alaskan Halibut was easily the best halibut I've ever had and when it comes to a seafood meal, this was the very best. A very generous filet atop some outstanding red pepper mashed potato with some delicious olive oil around the outside of the plate for dipping. WOW! My mother chose to replace her taters with asparagus which you will never see me doing! We finished off the evening with some Milk Chocolate Panna Cotta with caramel, crushed Butterfingers and whipped cream for all of us to share. While I was hesitant to dig in with the soul/mouth pleasuring that was going on from my meal, I had to try it. Good decision? YES! If you plan to get a desert following dinner, this is a must! One of the most unique things about VIVO Kitchen is that everything is made from scratch, in house and everything comes from local farms and businesses. They're ensuring that they are providing the very freshest ingredients to their customers and it definitely shows. They serve what's in season and because of that, the menu is always evolving and changing which helps with the freshness. How I wish that there were more than the twenty-four hours in the day... And I had a whole lot of money that was ready to burn. I would spend a lot of evenings at VIVO, it really is that good! BEST STEAK (9.26.14)! My wife and I are expecting our first little rug rat in the the coming few weeks and we decided to get a date night in before our baby boy arrives. Craving steak, my wife started thinking of places to go and I threw out a few of the top 5 places that serve steak in the Twin Cities area. Vivo wasn't on that list, however after our second visit to Vivo, it's hands down #1 to my wife and I. We've been to places such as Porterhouse, Woolley's Steakhouse, Manny's, Mancini's (Bottom of any list in my opinion), Lindy's and many others. We ordered the Hanger Steak with mashed potatoes and sweet corn with an Harissa glaze over the steak. I-N- - -S-A-N-E! You will not find a better steak in the Twin Cities, that I am convinced of. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection and the sweet corn and mashed were delicious as well. Those last two items seem simple to make, but there is an art to serving good mashed and a solid tasting sweet corn. At Vivo, everything is fresh and in season, THAT'S what makes it stand out. Enjoy!

Been here a couple times. The food is good but is overpriced. The restaurant is beautiful, but it was so loud at dinner we couldn't even carry on a conversation. Our favorite is the Sunday Brunch.

Very pleased. Was looking for a central location in Apple Valley to meet friends from neighboring suburbs. Took a shot in the dark from an internet search, and settled on Vivo Kitchen. Constantly disappointed in children's menus, I was underwhelmed by the child's menu selections....until I asked the waiter if there were any other options for children. The very knowledgable and competent waiter let me know that the kitchen would be willing to accommodate my request of making something healthier for my 5 year old. They grilled up a beautiful chicken breast and a lovely side of roasted vegetables for my daughter. It was delicious and she loved it! The server even brought her a tiny scoop (yes tiny, perfect size for a child) of vanilla ice cream after she ate her entire meal. Our server was professional and courteous and gave great recommendations from the menu. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals- the mushroom ravioli, the flatbread, the salads....all delicious! The venue was warm and inviting, a great place to reconnect with old friends! An overall wonderful experience-highly recommended!

If the desserts were better I would have given it 5 stars! We were there just last night. I had the Risotto Pomodoro which was fabulous! My husband ordered the salmon which while it was good, the risotto was super dry. For dessert my husband had the brownie sundae which consisted of 2 day old looking brownie sticks poking out of a bowl of ice cream. The brownie was super dry and tasteless. I ordered the 'hand made' chocolate gelato which was also very bland and had a ton of ice crystals in it. I will return to try something else but will skip dessert next time! The wait staff was super friendly.

I loved Enjoy! The building is beautiful, so a smart purchase for the new owners. It seems as though they removed some walls dividing the sections up and bringing up the noise level. The Bourbon Bar in the back is pretty cool and the bartenders are definitely knowledgeable on the products. The food left me underwhelmed and not wanting to return for a meal. I ordered the beat salad and it arrived on a bed of iceberg lettuce. What?! Definitely a let down. I had the margarita pizza-- nothing great, just basic. For the dollar spend, head west on Cty Rd 42 and find Porter Creek, in Burnsville.

Went to Happy Hour here on 12/23. Enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer. The house chips supposedly were homemade but looked like heated up potato chips. Margarita pizza was bland and needed to put red pepper flakes on it. Enjoyed the makers mark ginger and margarita. Bartender was réal Nice and cool.

I ate here last week with my family and was overwhelmed by how loud it was (I assume it has something to do with the high ceilings and architecture). It is really almost impossible to hear the person at your table. I ordered the chop salad and was surprised when a regular salad - not chopped- was put in front of me. The dressing was described as a spicy sweet dressing but it had no flavor at all. Additionally, the chicken was dark meat and almost inedible. Overall, I was very disappointed and will not be returning.

I've eaten here more than a few times. The food is always fantastic. My favorite last night (Bar table Seating) was the Parmesan Shrimp and the Pub Burger. I think the hidden gem on the menu is the ability to add a Filet to any salad for 7 dollars. It's not a large steak but it's always very high quality. The service is always very good at the Main and Bourbon Bar, but at times, the main dining area can be a bit slow so be prepared to have a little patience.

We visited Vivo tonight, coming down from Minneapolis to meet some friends coming up from Northfield. When we arrived we sat at the bar waiting for a table to open up and were promptly greeted with great service from everyone in the area. We sat at the bar waiting for the rest of our group to arrive and my wife ordered the grapefruit margarita, which she proclaimed was one of the best she's ever had (a great mix of sweet and salty). We also ordered some edamame; they were well cooked and had the right amount of saltiness. If you are a fan of edamame, I highly suggest these! For dinner my wife ordered the Ciao Bella dinner salad and the Braised Short Rib pasta. Both of which she enjoyed very much. I ordered the Bacon & Blue Cheese dinner salad and the Short Rib pizza. The salad was very tasty and a good start to the meal. When they brought the main courses they accidentally brought me a Butternut Squash pizza, which when I informed them of the mistake, were very courteous and prompt in bringing me what I had ordered. They even gave a free dessert to boot! The Warm Brownie Sundae was tasty and sweet, but a little non-descript. In all, this was a pleasant experience. Sure, they have some "new restaurant" hiccups, but those are minor and easily fixable. I gave Vivo four stars based on what I think it could become in a couple months and to be fair when reviewing against Minneapolis restaurants. However, if I were to compare it only to South Metro establishments, it would be one of the best options out there.

  • Alexander V.

I would have given them 5 stars, but the portion sizes (for take out orders) was rather small considering what we paid for the large orders. At Vivo, you can order a normal size or a large size for most entrees. I had the Rossa pasta and my sister had the Seafood pasta (I think they have different names on the menu). The Rossa pasta was superb. The Seafood linguini was good, but there were issues with the clam shells in the pasta. I definitely preferred the Rossa pasta over the Seafood pasta. It's great to have such a good restaurant in the suburbs. Would definitely go back and highly recommend this to anyone looking for good Italian fare. Definitely the best Italian food I've had in MN.

Finally! Apple Valley/Burnsville has needed a place like this for a while. Amidst a sea of chain restaurants, this place stands high above them. I have been here twice now with my family in the past year and each time we come it is delicious and the service is great. You can tell the management here is working very hard to make sure all of their customers receive great service and delicious food. After being here twice, I can already tell this is the kind of restaurant where the chefs take great pride in their food in that anything you order will be delicious. Unlike some other south suburban restaurants, Vivo is a place where you feel like it is definitely worth the prices on the menu. Their Brussel sprouts are the best Brussel sprouts I've ever had...and I normally do not like Brussel sprouts. They cook their steaks perfectly and both times I was here, I ordered a pasta dish in a red wine sauce and the flavors were amazing. I love how open and big the restaurant is because you feel like you have your own space and are not forced to listen to other peoples conversations like you are at many other restaurants. Overall, I am so happy a place like this is in Apple Valley now and it is my family's new "go-to" in the south suburbs.

I've been to Vivo a few times since it replaced Enjoy. Good food, good service (I think any of the same people as before). Pricey but probably the fanciest option in Apple Valley. I won't make a habit of going, but I'm sure I'll be back.

I went here today for the first time. My first impressions of the space itself is just beautiful. The inside decor feels very elegant, yet casual, if that makes sense. The patio was very nice as well, and the tables were spaced appropriately. I would say casual attire is fine, but would recommend more business casual. To start things off I had the Ahi Tuna crisps. These were amazing and accompanied my fresh squeezed lemonade quite well. The tuna tasted fresh and that paired with the avocado created a great flavor. The main dish I had was the sweet corn ravioli. The flavors here were incredible. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the bacon that was included was a great addition and balanced out the creaminess of the ravioli quiet well while the corn added some needed contrast in texture. The server was very pleasant, attentive, and seemed very knowledgeable about the restaurant and menu. I will definitely be returning here and would recommend it to others.

Rarely do I give 5 stars. This place deserves it because: - very fresh veggies and tuna - nice greeter and professional - beautiful, smiling, and helpful bartender - very clean - great space Check it out. They need your business as it is a big space, expensive real estate taxes.

I was so pleasantly surprised and excited by our recent visit to Vivo in Apple Valley. The restaurant was formerly Enjoy! and it was awful! But, I learned that the owner of Ciao Bella, Zelo, etc. bought the restaurant I had to return for another try. I'm so very, very glad I did! The service, the food and the decor is a 10+! Its wonderful to have a place to visit in the south suburbs that isn't a formula franchise. In addition, they have a bourbon room that features a separate bar, fire pit, etc. They do special tasting dinners, wine or beer tastings, and other special events. I feel like a new, cool kid just moved into the neighborhood!

Ahi tuna crisps make this place..delish! We ordered several appetizers, the above mentioned crisps were the stand out. We also ordered the shrimp and calamari, both were pretty good. I ordered the salmon entree, and was pleased. Husband ordered the rocket salad and I can honestly say that I had order envy. We have been here for brunch as well. Brunch was pretty good, I have had better. Risotto wasn't very good at all. I would go back for dinner, but brunch at Chianti grill in Burnsville is better.

We have been coming here since they opened and tonight was the first time I felt let down ! I don't know if this is a result of the minimum wage increase or what. Seems to be a move to cut costs for sure ! The salads have less ingredients. less cheese crumbled, less everything ! We got the shrimp app. and it was missing a shrimp. Served a warm beer and nothing comped by the manager ! Seemed to pretend to be concerned, yet did not comp. anything ! We spent $60 here ! for Happy Hour ! Really ?

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
